Samsung has rolled out it’s monthly security update fixing bugs and glitches onto the Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime. The device has been receiving a lot attention ever since it’s release in November of 2016 with monthly software upgrades. The build number G532GDDU1AQC2 had been deployed out to Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime device users a few days ago for it’s March update with devices having received it over the Air.
However, there may be a delay with software updates for some. This is due to the fact there are millions upon millions of units Samsung needs to send these upgrades to. To make the process easier, the company sends out the updates in batches. Therefore, if you are a Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime user and you haven’t received the update, it may be due to the fact that your device in the batch has not yet been deployed it.
For those users who want to check manually whether or not they have received the update, they can go to Settings > About device > System update and make sure it’s not their device that’s glitching out.
Three other devices also received a monthly software update. This is a good sign for Samsung users as this proves that regardless of what flagship you may be using, Samsung will make sure they give it some attention, and not completely neglect them. This service from Samsung sets it apart from other smartphone companies who sometimes neglect their budget devices that may or may not have been a major success.
